OK oh wise ones! I have a Bear 76er that I would like the rubber grip for. How do I know which one to buy if I can find one?

Gonna be hard to find and the one's that are out there are usually taken. Just use a bicycle inner tube and slip it over or keep watching ebay.

The #1 grip is low wrist, #2 is medium, and #3 is high wrist...but as Hiram says they are tough to find. I like the inner tube idea too.

You will be fortunate indeed if you have a choice, but I always liked the 1R.

You can use a tennis racket grip wrap. It works great and just costs a couple of bucks.

Thanks guys, I didn't know the 1,2,3 was just different wrist configurations, I thought maybe that was for different model bows. Just need a little more weight distribution across my hand, they are getting old faster than most of the rest of me!

The best grip I know of is the Bear #2 made for compounds. It's hard plastic and gets a little slippery compared to rubber though.

I see them on E-bay rather frequently. Search them under as many different descriptions as you can think of. You'll find one.

Catalog number 2181 Magnesium bow grips. No 1 no 2 no 3 No 1 standard pistol grip came on bows. The mag take down, 76 er's, minutman , and early compounds. First grips where rubber, then when they come out for the compounds it was changed to plastic. The plastic stay on the handel better then the rubber ones do. The no 2 is the medium grip and the no 3 is the high pistol grip that was like by many for target bows.
