Look what I got today!! For quite some time I've been asking Big Jim when he was going to start building the 50's style recurve. Its been a long time coming but I finally picked mine up today. Man, is it sweet. Beautiful, quiet and fast. This is one nice bow. Exactly what I wanted. Thank ya Jim. Oh- it's zebrawood (my favorite) and macassir ebony 60", 46@28 Plus some kind of cool stripe in the handle. Moose horn on the handle and limb tips.

With all the different woods and the attention to detail that jim puts into each of his bows it's no surprise that this thing turned out so well. All of the 50's style curves that are being built now are very nice looking and perform well. Jim has a way with bows and it shows up in this little model as well.

The MM is the best 50's style recurve I've found. Smooth, fast and dang near as quiet as my TC.

I've shot it everyday since I got it last Halloween. At 45#@29" it averages 177 fps with a 490 grain GT 400. 194 fps with 390 grain GT 600.

The cut past center allows it to shoot just about anything. The 400's with 150 up front bareshaft perfectly for me.
