Numbers for Howatt repeated themselves each decade, so a photo clears it up.

2000 They did not make the Dreamcatcher in the 90's.

It is made on the same form as the Super Diablo.

Is it a 2009 from the 09?

Tried to remember when we used the laminated, dyed, maple for the outside blocks. Can't really put an exact date on the bow. Could be a 1990.

I thought the bows with lam maple were made after mine. Am I wrong? MP

The first number in the serial digits is a 0. The build date would have to be a year ending in 0.

The year would be 2000 as the DC was built on the Super Diablo form that is exactly like the DC.

Just checked and the Dreamcatcher was introduced in the late 90's.

So that would make your bow a 2000.

According to Larry while the DC looks exactly like the Super Diablo made prior to it they are very different bows.

I have 2. A 1999 55#er with fabulous curly Bubinga and a 2004 45#er with nice Bubinga. Won't part with either but it's pretty much that way with all my howatts.

The Dreamcatcher was available before the late '90's I beleive.

Seems to me Jim Harrell from Austin, Texas was shooting one around '92 or '93. About the time,or shortly after, my wife and I got married.

Here's the 1996 Howatt ad with no DC. Super Diablo is still in production. They were not offered together.

The Super D was replaced by the Dreamcatcher as their 60" bow. I believe the changeover date was 1999.

Here's a quote from Larry...

"we discontinued the super d and introduced the dreamcatcher to have a 60" bow still in the mix. it is a very different bow. different press, different internal limb lams, and slightly different limb profile and take-offs. the last 2 years of super d bows we were experimenting with smoothing the draw out to 30+" because we wanted to get the new bow there.

Always thought very sharp bow but draw 31in will they go to 31 comfortably?

From: Mpdh
Date: 25-Jan-17

My dl is 29. 31 seems awfully long for any 60 in bow. MP

What is the brace height for the dream catcher?

From: Mpdh

Mine is 7 1/2, but yours, and others could be a little diff. A lot depends on how YOU like the bow to feel. MP
