So, have my youngest daughter introduced to archery this summer, and she loves it. I needed a takedown to travel with to see her, and ordered a birthday gift for myself...A Toelke Chinook 2 piece, 40#, 60"AMO, quilted myrtle veneers, cocobolo overlays, linen mycarta riser with the bow bolt system. Rock solid, dead quiet, way more accurate than I have any right to expect, light to hand, and as with all Dan's work, absolutely top shelf in looks, material and finish. Lams are heat treated bamboo and heat treated maple. Here is what a great bowyer Dan is...I ordered the bow in Late September, and after sending the trace of my bow hand and selecting woods, waited about 4 weeks for the bow...Dan calls in late October and lets me know he made a 58" in error...when I said I really wasnt interested in the 58", as I had had one before, he didnt make any excuses, and didnt put on the hard sell, just apologized and said he would make my 60 as soon as possible. About 3-4 weeks later this beauty shows up. He is a great bowyer and an honest straight deal guy. Anyway, will get to shoot with my daughter in a couple weeks, out at the Redwood Bowmen club in the Berkeley Hills, and hope to see her light up when she hits the gold again! One proud happy Dad here! Some pix of her and my newest toy follow

Wonderful getting your daughter into archery! It is something she can do for life. And NO batteries or internet required.

Fantastic post!! You made me smile.

Building memories is very special and builds bonds. Just get a big kick seeing littleone's enjoying archery.

Great times when you get to shoot bows with the kiddos. I have three grandkids that know Boompa is going to get the bows out whem they come to visit. If I am a little slow they are bugging me to go shoot.

Quit taking pictures with the camera turned on end if you want them to show correctly. My wife does that and I have to reorient them using my computer.

That's such a great bow, she'll be spoiled rotten in the future, lol! You might as well start saving for her next bow- a Border. Those tips are built nearly identical to those on Drakes. Very nice!
