I have a couple Carroll takedowns that need the limb spacer replaced. I have tried the rolled cork sheets from craft stores and they don't last long. Any other replacement suggestions. Thanks Jim

Here's something that might work & would be weatherproof too. Go to the plumbing dept. at one of the big box hardware stores & look at the showerpan vinyl liner material. They sell by the foot & it's a gray color too. It's basically a gasket material.

Thanks for the suggestions I'll give them a look.

Use either leather, or closed cell foam. You can buy it in sheets.

X2 stickbowhntr. It's what I used to repair the one that I used to have, that is now owned by Mr. Stout. I had no problems whatsoever. Lance.

I'd suggest a piece of rubber intertube.

Look at sheet foam at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Thanks, Pat Reed

It originally came with thin cork-like material. If you want as close to original as you can get, then gasket material will be closest. I think you can also get thin cork at Michaels or other craft shops.

I think one of mine some years back, I just used leather from a pair of old boot tongues. Just about anything will work I suppose. That craft cork must be really cheap for sure if it isn't lasting. I expect the foam will work fine and help with a quieting effect also.

I am with StickBow on this one. I have custom cut bicycle tubes to fit as gaskets for my 3-piece Black Widow recurve and Journeyman longbow. They never break down and work perfectly.

Craft stores usually have sheets of thin foam used by kids for crafting. It can be cut with a scissor.
