Lots of bows, many forgotten, kept in socks squirreled away. While going through them I found this. Indian Archery Pathfinder, one piece zebrawood riser. You didn't see many one piece risers, especially in zebrawood, and this one is massive. IA wasn't known for their great bow woods so this is different. For your enjoyment.

The riser is 24" long with the grip oversized. The bowyer probably didn't want to remove too much wood. I've been there.

That's really nice. Thanks for sharing. I hope that you plan to put some arrows through it. Lance.

I've got an Indian Archery Warrior in my collection that also has a zebra wood riser. I'll see if I can do pictures.

Nice bow! My first recurve over 45 yrs ago was an Indian 52 inch. But nothing like the wood on yours

If you watch Ebay, you will see an Indian Deerslayer of all zebrawood as well. As mentioned, you don't see them often but they are out there.

Glad you like it folks. The reason I shared is because the bow is one piece in the riser. I have maybe 15 zebrawood risered bows from York, Bear, Pearson, Howatt and Shakespeare but only 2 are not laminated zebrawood. This and my ML-14. The mass of this riser makes it stand out.

It does however have it's flaws. lots of stress lines and massive tips without overlays. Without overlays the tips look kinda goofy being so wide but thin. When I got it I planed on adding overlays of zebrawood and narrowing them down but 20 years later still none.
