My number came up on Steve’s build list and I was able to talk him into sending me some build along pics.

I put in a order for a classic a couple weeks ago. Yew lams. Should be ready around may.

Great thread... Steve is a top notch bowyer and guy, hard to beat. I have a Classic in the mail now and on list for another. Tom

What model are you having made?

From: Blackhawk
Date: 30-Nov-16

A couple years ago, I received his Shelton and the Hill Tembo (also with string follow) about the same time. Both came close in weight and I had the opportunity to compare. Workmanship was about the same, but the Shelton quickly became my favorite.

BTW, I had never dealt with Steve before, BUT he shipped the bow to me even before payment was made. That says a lot to me about him.

Love my Northern Mist Baraga; I wish I tried Northern Mist longbows a long time ago, as I wouldnt have gone thru 100 bows to find the right one.

Steve is a great guy to talk to and he puts his heart and soul into every bow he builds.

And so many guys on here complain about how much a bow costs. Hahaha,

Not like Steve knocks out a bow in a day. Great pics of hand made just for you. Nice.

Great pictures of a true craftsman/bowyer at work. I have a 51# Superior. Red glass both back and belly. One of the very best LB's I've ever shot. I liked it so much I have another Superior on order. Glad to see Steve wearing that Traditional Bowhunters of Maryland T-shirt!

Great post! I have known Steve for over 20 years. His bows are genuine works of art. One other thing about Steve, his word and handshake is worth more than any written contract. He is "good people" for sure.
