In reading tbb 4 Mark St. Louis said he gave his bows 2 weeks to rehydrate. I just toasted a floor tillered elm I would like to get back to work on just wondering how long you guys waited after toasting before you started tillering.

Really, 2 weeks. I don't remember writing that. If it's really humid out then a day is enough. If it's dry out then I would give it 3 days

I have good success waiting till it cools a couple hrs. This is on Osage though . Not sure with elm.
