Today my wife and I made the 100 mile trip north from Olympia, WA to Pt. Townsend, home of Edensaw Lumber. If you are a woodworker, this is a trip you have to make. Three warehouses full of the most amazing wood you can imagine. Pt. Townsend is a hotbed of wooden boat building and fine furniture and Edensaw is the go-to place for everything you need. I bought enough ebony to last till spring, some Verawood, and some fantastic tiger Maple from another dealer in Pt. Townsend. This place is a must if you're ever in Washington State!

Richard. Thanks for this info. I usually get the wood for my knife making at WoodCraft, but I'll check this place out the next time I'm in PT. Lance.

I bet it is amazing, especially to see the wooden boats...love retro or classic wooden Chris Craft boats. I have a wood supplier nearby in Xenia (CR Muterspaw) that specializes in different maples.
