This bow blew up late Thursday afternoon. I actually witnessed the explosion. I built this bow last year for my friend Larry "AKA BIGFOOT" as his go-to bow (a copy of a Pearson he owned and wanted the poundage upped from the original 35# to 50#). I did the glue up on this re-limb job Friday morning, shaped the bow and had a coat of finish on it late that afternoon. Finished and ready to go about noon Saturday.

Finished and ready for action Saturday. Larry, happy and shooting again, ready for the opening of bow season Oct 1.

Impressive turn around time! And a great arsenal of tools and skill to accomplish it too I see.

Did those feathers ever get to you?

Bobby

Bobby.......

I did receive the feathers and I want to thank you for your generosity, especially the time it took to round them up and package them for shipping. Not to mention the expense.

Thank you Bobby

Hi,

Nice to see guys who stand behind their "creations".

Even more interesting to see a real live picture of bigfoot - I had him pictured different in my mind - sort of more hairy and not armed with a bow - just joshin´

shoot straight - skookum bow

James...it amazes me every time I see one of your projects like that.

Sorry but what adhesive do you use ? I have some projects in mind and need a good glue for wood to wood or wood to glass(fiber) Thanks randy

Man I need to be there when this type off professional work is done , would love to watch and learn the technicals . I can learn that way best , I forget everything said . It kinda makes my want to go out and build one tomorrow ! Awsome

Off the wall cool!! Great rebuild. Timely too!

From: Nemah

So....how did you do it? It seems to me you would have to grind off the glass and the limb cores down to the riser, then basically build a new bow. Let us in on your process, please! Richard

Richard.................

You are correct, the old limb material is stripped from the riser by grinding, then the new limbs are installed. Same process as building the bow originally. I already had the form and all the specs for this bow so the build went a lot quicker.

My wife owns several classic re-curve bows that I rebuilt for her from riser that were donated by Leatherwall Members. I really appreciate you guys.

Rman................

Jump on your fast horse and come on down and we will build a bow.

Always willing to help when I can
