These are best of his bows theres been plenty on this, do a search. I have had 2 of them and still have one and had several long bows of Jims and as far as any of Jims bows I have liked the Deserts I've had the best.

Draw smooth, fast and bounden beautiful.

Awesome bows. Big Jim has a eye for wood and is a great person to deal with.

This bows got some mojo. I love this bow. I had a weak moment couple months ago. Glad no one stepped up or I'd be out of this bow. LOL

Get yourself one and if you haven't shot one then you owe it to yourself to at least try one then you will know.

I have the recurve and really like it . I have always been a longbow shooter and have one of Jims buffalo longbows and the recurve is a bit faster and smoother . I am on the list for a thunderchild also but may get another recurve when the time comes. Will see.

Isn't that Mikes ol one.I really like that grip you have on there but it would cover my riser woods so I can't do that. I really have liked my deserts much better than out of several LB's Jim built me all works of art the last several. Always wanted a gator grip but it covers the woods to much so no grip for me even on the other LB's the beaver grips cover the woods. They are fast and smooth that's what I like most also with mine. Plus they shoot where I look so that's a big plus for me.

Skinny strings are on mine and that makes even more of a difference in speed and quietness.

Yes it is Mikes old one. He put the grip on it and it looks great. Still plenty of good looking wood to look at. That is another thing I like about the bow is how easy it is to point and shoot right were I am looking. I shoot a 14 strand D97 and it's plenty fast enough for me. Jims bows are second to none. And he is a great guy also. The company is top notch.

They are great, I had one several years ago that I sold and should have kept. Two shots at deer and both were right on the money.
