My arrows are showing to be weak for my bow. The arrows are 11/32 POC 50/55 29". The bow is a Fedora Xcellorater 58" 52@28 and my draw length is28". Is the anything I can do to help these fly out of this bow?

Lighten up the point weight. Personally speaking: I think 55-60# shafts would fit the current setup better. But lighter point will get those arrows going.

Use moleskin and add to the side plate till the arrows fly right. Then remove the layers in one piece and cut a sliver out of it n put it under you side plate. And your bow will be tuned.

Lighten the point, build out the strike plate, and as a last resort add weight to the rear of arrow. One or all of the above should get you by until you can get some heavier spine shafts. Ken

Thanks everyone. I will work on it this afternoon. I traded bows and didn't think about the new arrows I had on order for the old bow so I ended up with a dozen pretty arrows that don't shoot.

Cant be off by much, whats your rest, off the shelf , flipper, and sounds like you have a strong fast bow, if you had a test head at 120g 0r 115g . you may be close enough to just put some puffs on the string and slow her down some.

I wouldn't suggest someone to lighten the points when he didn't at first say how heavy they are. Now he says 125, which covers most broadheads out there as well. If you really are weak, then as mentioned above, build out the rest if you're shooting off the shelf. You didn't mention string type either, and that is critically important.

Most arrow makers have test sets that they will sell/three different spines in them. Also have a good talk with your supplier,he will be glad to work with you.

The fact is, a lighter point, building out the strike plate, or weight on the rear of the arrow will stiffen it. He needs to pick one or all three, since only the OP knows all the facts. That is the 3 things to make use of arrows on hand until he can purchase correct spine. I have used Nibs/target points when I didn't have the proper arrow for testing a bow. I hope that helps elkhunter 71. It wqill keep you shooting until you get what you need. Ken

Normally I cut my shafts so that they project 1/2" from window. I am actually going a little longer these days. But the nock adds 1/2 inch so you could trim an inch off the arrow giving you a 28.5 inch arrow. That would be good for about 7 pounds change. Of if the length counts the nock take off a half inch, you should still be good to go 3-4 pounds stiffer.

elkhunter71: you say your arrows are "The arrows are 11/32 POC 50/54 29". If you purchased AMO 50/55 spine, then they are 45/49@29" and your Fedora is probably cut at least too center with a ff string, you are way under spine, by a minimum of 10/15#. The only practical solution is to build out the strike plate or get heavier spine arrows. I would build it out at least by 1/8".
