I could it hits hard and I'm fairly accurate with it. Now that would be fun to hunt with a bow my friend made for me. I might just do that :) JF

I tried the "old elevated on the back porch shoot through the limbs of the maple tree" shot today. Not so good. 3 arrows from about 17 yards and slightly quartering. Shooting my Greenie K-Mag and 2016 autumn orange Easton's. I better practice some more. Everyone have a good weekend. Lance.

I liked Kodiaktd's shot so I did the same.

Dropped the one @ 30 but otherwise they are all lung shots on deer.

Good shooting guys.

Another first-ever shot adventure, this weekend with a 1961> Gordon Plastics >Browning transitional model, sort of like a Gordon 1961 Royal Knight, sort of like what came out as the 1962 Browning Explorer, sort of like what became the Browning Nomad. Jerry Amster looked at photos and it reminded him of he and Jack Bice playing with different risers and woods and limbs and tips, etc., to come up with possible Browning models. When I got this bow, lazy inspection revealed a bit of twist in the upper limb and close inspection revealed a bit of a crack parallel with the sight window. So some Loctite 420 was applied to that crack, a hair dryer and gentle counter- twist applied to the limb and I pronounced it ready for a test run. The bow is 62" AMO-equivalent and marked 56@28, but it didn't feel quite like I expected 56# to feel and it didn't shoot like 56#, so I guessed closer to 50# and the arrows for that weight and design flew much better. My first group of 3 from 25 yards was nothing to brag about, but nothing broke or blew apart and I ended up shooting about 45 arrows. It's a nice old bow: the long limbs taper to very narrow at the ends, the grip is straightforward, light in hand, smooth draw, and with a endless loop dacron string with small yarn puffs, it is plenty quiet . The original finish is B- on the limbs, but I dont think I'll mess with stripping, just a light steel wool and top coat should serve.
