56" Comanche Recurve. 50# @26". This was my first traditional bow. Purchased it from Curtis Byrd and his son in about 1994-1995. I was driving through Center Point, Texas one afternoon and saw their sign. Stopped in for a long visit, shot a bow and ordered one on the spot. The bow measures 49" straight line tip to tip when strung and 56" following curves tip to tip. It's almost perfect condition. 9 out of 10. It's tillered for split finger and doesn't tune to 3 under, for me at least. Looking for an honest opinion of value. Probably going to post it to classifieds for sale.

Less for glass people like his heavy selfbows and they are unusual to see for sale.

Curtis' bows are still desirable, even the glass backed models. I wouldn't expect a high price, but the show up so seldom that you may be surprised. As for asking price, pick a number from $150 to $300. It is a special market too...short bow, about 56# @ 28 or maybe a bit more. I really like them, and many others do as well. Start out on the high side and then come down if you need to.

Curtis' grandson is making those bows again just for the record. If you are looking for a quality short recurve, that one is just about as good as they get. Not a huge following, and not many know the bows, but they are good ones.
