I have a flat BLACK 17 inch. If you want to see it, I'll post pics of it. It's nothing special to look at, I like the looks of it though.
I have thought about having it CeraKoted in something like a Burnt Bronze. I saw one that shade and it was stunning.

Thanks Flash, Do you shoot yours vertically or canted? I am wondering if the heavy risers like yours balance ok being shot canted.. looks amazing

G3 19" with Max 1 mediums. If there's a better bow out there, I don't care!

Best person to talk to about Morrison risers is Bob Morrison...for example his newer risers have the cutouts in them to change the balance...my guess is that adding a stabilizer as in the above picture would mess up the balance for a canted bow...I shoot my 13 inch off the shelf and canted quite a bit...Bob hunts almost exclusively with a 13 inch riser

I normally shot close to to vertical but can cant to 45 degrees if needed. Shoots good without the stabilizer as well.

I am loving this thread. I have been emailing bob. I am having trouble deciding between the 19 and 21 and heavy vs. lite....then the color. thanks for the input flash. have you ever shot the light version of your riser? do you know how much your bow weighs with limbs?

I haven't shot the light version but I own a 17 as well. I bought the 21 to make a 64" bow. My 17" has med limbs as well, making it a 60" bow.

DDave sometimes I just use a short 5 ounce barebow weight instead of the stabilizer. Either way it sits well for my shooting style, which is pretty upright.

I have a 15" Phoenix with medium Max2 limbs (48@28) that I bought from Bob about 3 years ago. I shoot off the shelf, but use a shorty plunger instead of a side plate. I only own one bow and this is it. I've been thinking of buying a 1 piece recurve (sometimes miss the warmth and character of a wooden bow!), but I've also thought about just sticking with what works.
I'll upload a pic or two later on.
