You'll probably have to raise your nock from 18-14" above what oyu shoot split. I shoot the same nock but most people do not. I anchor the same place, middle finger corner of the mouth. You'll shoot low at first but it only takes a bit to adjust.

Use 2 nock points one above one below. Top one 5/8 to 3/4 should put you in the ball park.Anchor the same as split

geez, that shoulda read 1/8-1/4 not 18-14.

You look good to go. You don't "necessarily" have to change anything. I eyeball my nock location, and it works split and 3 under. If you do use the same anchor, like GLF said, you will most likely start off shooting low until your mind adjust, or you change your gap.

FYI there is only one eighth of an inch tiller difference between 3 under and split but yes the string nocking point should be a bit higher than when shooting split.

Top/index finger in corner of your mouth wont be much different than split as far as your sight picture.

I shoot 3 under now but only use 1 nock and I don't get flyers so my bows consistant. The arrows nock is not gonna slide unless its real loose on the string. My nocks snap on but not too tight. I like to snap it on the string and slide it up to the nockset so I don't have to look down while hunting. Guys like to blame equipment for poor accuracy or inconsistance when 98 percent of the time its the nut behind the string.

When I changed from split to 3under I also changed index finger to middle finger in the corner of my mouth, nock touching the bottemof my nose, string touching the side of my nose. This gave me 4solid anchor points including my thumb nuckel behide my jaw.. This allowed me to really start looking straight down the arrow and use my point better for gap shooting... worked for me???? The more solid anchor points that are repeatable the better offyou are..

Switched to 3 fingers under about 3 months ago. 2 nocking points. Middle finger anchor in the corner of the mouth. Top cock feather touches the tip on my nose. I'm a gapper so with a 29.5" arrow my gap is now 8" below my target at 20 yards vs 18-20" with split finger. Much quicker to acquire my sight picture. 30 yards is my point on.

Ive been shooting 3 under some for last 3 years. I anchor my index finger right under my cheek bone.

You can use a regular split tab. And I found I did not have to raise my nock set.

You have to do one mandatory thing before you set up your bow or contemplate any other variable involved with shooting three under. Get in your car. Drive to Walmart. Go into the women's section and buy you about 12 pair of pink panty's. You have to wear them everyday once you start shooting three under. It's the rules and required if you intend to shoot the girly way.

Most men interpret this as being a hit on their manhood. But, you must understand, it takes a better man to shoot girly style and wear pink panty's with class then most men are capable of expressing. So pull those pink panty's on with pride knowing that you are more manly than most. Just please don't buy thong style panty's and, please don't wear white dress pants over top. Good day gentlemen. And, good luck with your girly release.

Kinda' looks to me like you already learned BOXCALL.

I'd have to agree Frank. From the looks of it, BOX CALL has already been to Walmart.

Don't know WV Mountaineer. I'm sure he's a good man, but he sure seems to think about men in pink panties a lot. And now he's adding in a thong visual. I'm no psychologist, but sounds a tad Freudian. Not that there's anything wrong with it. Just an observation.

And yes, I shoot 3 under. And the only pink panties in this house are worn by my wife, when I let her wear panties at all. Don't mean to offend, I'm just ribbin' ya. I love this trad community. Learn a lot and laugh with y'all every day. Blessings to all from Texas!

I tried 3 under many years back. But I was going hunting and did not trust myself with a new shooting method. Now as I age I am thinking about 3 under agian. See, I am retired and need new avenues to explore. So, it seems you 3 under guys do not shoot over 25-30 yards? Now to me that is boring, I know, I know those are max hunting ranges. But what about 3D and just shooting targets past those ranges, say up to and including 80 yards. Do you gap it or? Thank you for help in advance,

M60...Art Young was a 3 under shooter and he shot a looooot further than that. And competed very successfully doing it. 3 under is not just for close in.

I practice sometimes out to 60 and most times 50 and shoot around 100 or more just for fun, and no I don't expect to hit great at 100,lol. But its fun trying.

Look on You tube for some video by Jimmy Blackmon, and Moebow1. These boys know how it gets done. I spent a couple of hours with Arne Moe and did some emailing video to him to critic. I went from a pretty good shooter to winning every shoot I've been to this year except one, that was by 1 pt. I can shoot 3 under to 60 yrds.

WV Mountaineer I wear my pink panty's on the outside!! It freaks out the competion real Bad!!

My I suggest to get a 3 under tab and only shoot and hunt with it... I was using my regular shooting glove for awhile and even went hunting with it... Got a shot at a nice doe and shot over her back by 3 feet... Couldn't figure out why? Til it came to me that in the heat of the moment I shot at her split fingers. It happened once never again.. Lol.

I will check out those You tube vids for sure. I may have to put my "old, old, mans' limbs on my TD. Hope the old Bear TD Mag will take some abuse while I am figuring it out. I realize I have to raise my nock point and use two of them. I also need to find a point on agian.

I shoot both ways and understand the 3-under attraction. This will show where I am currently: If someone tossed a tennis ball out on the lawn and let it roll to say, 20 yards. Then they held a gun on me and told me to shoot it, I would probably put all three fingers under the arrow. If they tossed it in the air or rolled it and told me to hit it before it stopped, I would shoot split. Over 40 yards I would shoot split (and bid you all farewell!)

Excellent advice from String Cutter! I'm going to do that.
