I have a '58 Bear Kodiak that has a crack that starts in the crease of arrow shelf that opens up 2 in. long when I pull bow sideways. Found this out when I took the leather grip off. Just wondering what epoxy or glue I should use before clamping tight. Thanks for any help.

Yessir, the guys here who make bows can give you better advice with a photo. Sounds like something that could be saved be a picture is worth a thousand words.

Sorry the pictures don't show it well but the crack is right in crease of arrow rest and goes straight down about 2 to 3 in.

Epoxy, preferably a slow set. Warm the glue in a cup floating in hot water. this will thin it some. Open the crack, blow out any dust or wood slivers, and work epoxy in, open and close the crack, kinda pumping the glue down. Then clamp but not too tight or you squeeze the glue out. Set in a warm place for a couple of days. Do clean up.

Loctite 420, use a syringe.

I second the Loctite 420, that stuff will draw right down in there. Even an idiot like myself can use it but I use a toothpick tip to transfer the glue itty bitty drop by drop
