My new to me bow showed up today. I bought it in our classifieds from Shick, he is a great person to deal with. So thank you Shick! My bow is a 1970 Super Kodiak. This is the first time I have shot a Super Kodiak and I have to say I really like it. I have been hung up on custom longbows for a few years and have to say I did not know what I was missing. I really like this bow and am going to use this one as my hunting bow this year. I have a feeling I may have to have a few more of these in different draw weights. Still like my longbows but think I'm going to try recurves out for a while. Thanks for looking !

Cool nice bow Joey :) After shooting a longbow and switching to a recurve it makes feel like a pro, doesn't? Enjoy. JF

Jeff,I thought I shot good with my longbows but I have to admit after only shooting this bow for one afternoon my groups have tightened up. It does put a smile on my face. My wife was shooting with me and even said to me that I was shooting better than normal this afternoon. LOL

I guess I should have said that the bow is 60 inch and 45lb at 28 inch. Something tells me before next season I will be buying a 55lb one and also a 40lb one before the 3D shoots start back up this spring. I love having the same bow in a few different draw weights.

I agree, older like my "72" or newer like my 2005 both shoot well and have never let me down.

It sure is a very beautiful bow. It also has my favorite specs. I love shooting my Hill longbow but lately a Bear takedown or one piece SK keeps entering my thoughts. Enjoy your bow!

OK y'all, been shooting this bow for a week and still really like it !!! I will be using this as my hunting bow this year. Only been shooting it for a short while but I'm shooting tighter patterns with it than I have ever shot.

Joey, glad you are getting to know the Super K. You'll find out as JR has said, 'it's one my favorites'. Good luck with it, and it was a pleasure talking with you. Shick

My 1971 Super Kodiak looks identical except it has the accessory insert hole.
It shoots great: 58 pounds at 28 inches. It isn't the world's fastest but it is no slouch either. Really likes a wooden arrow.
They are nice bows.

Hey Ralph, there's a 1967 1/2 at 65# on Ebay as we speak. Asking price is a little pricey in my opinion, but it's there. I remember my buddy had a 68# one many years ago...it was 64". Will be tough to find a 75# one, but likely there were a few made.
