Hi All, hoping to get some info on this bow. I've never seen one like it. It bears a little resemblance to an old Browning folding bow but has a very different takedown system (cam levers). Thanks for any help.

Well I've discovered this is a Browning Cam-Lock 1 bow. But I've found zero information on it online. No pics, no hits on the name, nothing. Any info, pics or anything at all would be appreciated.

Nope it's definitely a Browning Cam-Lock 1 bow. But besides this 1975 ad, I've found no other info or even color pictures of one. Anyone else ever see one in person? or know the color they came in?

No it's not a Backpacker. It's an early 70's Browning Cam-Lock as mentioned, and actually a pretty good bow. The timing was terrible though since compounds were becoming overwhelmingly popular at that time.

Yeah I was kinda surprised at how quiet it is. I thought that locking system for sure would make it rattle but it locks up very tight, smooth bow but a heavy sucker. weighs in at around 3.6 pounds! Stable though. Any idea on what it's worth? Might have someone interested in buying it but with no other bows that i can see online, let alone for sale I have no idea what it's worth? Looks to be in good shape other than the crappy rattle can paint job.

It's hard to say what it's worth. It's been a while since I've seen one on eBay, and nothing shows when I search completed listings. I bought one on eBay a couple of years ago, and I think I paid less than $100; maybe $87 or so.

What Joep003 said. Worth is subjective, but that bow is a relative unknown so it won't bring much money. If you can give it some provenance, it may enhance the potential value.
I like those heavier bows. They don't move when you shoot them and they are more conducive to a clean shot. I was actually smitten with the metal risers back in the day, and had several of them...one of which I kept..even during the compound takeover.
It's handy also for travel, since it basically can fold up enough to stick under or behind a truck seat. On a good day you may get $150.00 for it on the big auction unless you found a Browning collector who just didn't have one yet. It's pretty much bomb proof as well so would make a great all around bow for someone, and I'll guarantee it will shoot well.
