So do any bowyers still make kids bows? I gave a friend that just had a baby. They are an archery family. They predominantly shoot compounds; but do shoot real bows too. I want to buy their little girl a nice, pretty well made bow for a 4 to 5 year old. Or if someone has a used one and wants to trade or sell it I would really like to get one. I know she has a while before she will shoot it but her seeing how beautiful wood is even before she can draw it will help plant the seed of traditional archery.

Elk Ridge Archery makes the pilgrim squirt--my son's first bow with a matching quiver and arrows--I've kept the first one but now he is on bow number 3 from ERA, they have a trade in program.

I've also handled St. Joe River's kids bows. Fine quality--they would be a fine pick.

I've heard Black Rino are nice but I have never seen one in person.

Try kids bow as a key word search here. Should get some ideas.

St. Joe river bows makes great kids bows I have bought several. Trade in program and very nice to shoot. We use them for our archery program and are very well built and dependable.

Black Rhino makes a very nice little bow. Actually several different kids' bows, and they/he (Chuck, aka Okaw) run(s) a trade-in/trade-up program. He makes really nice kids' arrows as well...

And Mike Mecredy (Maddog) makes a couple (curve or LB) which have gotten rave reviews by all who've handled them.

Both are extremely reputable bowyers and all-around Good People.

Uncle Curtiss, why not whittle that little girl an Osage selfbow? You have a few years to get it right. She'd dig it for sure.

Rest of you guys, I like what I see. More power to you for helping the kids get started especially you bowyers.

Maddog makes great kids recurve and longbow for $95 and $15 shipping. They are well built and worth more money than he sells them for.

Pearson junior jets are hard too beat and old 30lbs@28" bows are nice also. Picked up this 30lbs wasp from the big auction site and it's perfect for this little she-devil. She was shooting balloons with it yesterday,,,great times!!!
