Any of you own or have shot the adult size maddog recurve ? Your thoughts ? What would you compare it to ? Any pics ? I know he makes nice bows as I have shot one of his longbows but no experience with his recurve. My wife is going to order his mid size recurve for herself and thought I might buy his 60 inch for myself. I know try before you buy but that is not always an option. Thanks for any info and pics.

if you don't specify grip size you may get a too small grip, that's what I done lol. got a kaliska recurve and had a prarie preditor. they are light in the hand and fast for their weight. they are not over built like most bows. don't overbow yourself like I did. the very light mass weight bows are not kind to the overbowed. good bow imo....ron

Mike makes supreme quality bows with expert craftsmanship. Ask him of his wood choices. He will care for you in return with 5-star rating. Last but not least, best prices for a custom bow anywhere.

The Kaliska recurve is the one my wife is ordering . When I talked to mike on phone he told me he also made a 60 inch recurve. I'm going to email him to see if I can get a pic of it. The prairie preditor is the longbow I was able to shoot , my hands were a little large for it . That is why he suggested to me his 60 inch recurve or his mountaineer longbow. Thanks for the info guys !

Just call Mike and discuss it with him...or he may show up to respond to this thread...the man is incapable of building anything but good bows

Ole Mike can't be beat. I wear a large, extra Large Glove. The 60 inch recurve grip is perfect. They way he makes them, they'd fit about any hand minus super small or, a hand so large the width of the bow is too narrow. That would be a really small or, big hand.

I own some top dollar bows. Names that get adorned by the band wagon riders. None of them come close in performance. None are as quiet. None point as well for me. NONE are as smooth. He makes the perfect bow. He makes them how you request them. He is the best of the best. At any price.

The only thing I'd suggest mentioning to him is ensuring the sight window is tall enough, if you shoot like me. The way I hold my head, I have to look through the riser on bows who site windows are not very tall. Originally this one wasn't tall enough for me. For others it seems to be of no problem. For me it was. He fixed it free of charge. Even though I didn't include that request initially.

You are going to love the bow and the guy making it. God Bless

Once again ask Mike what he has...when I had him build my bow he told me he had some nice osage to build the riser...and he was right

Buddy, mine is quilted maple, Osage accent/limb core, and black limba limb veneers.

Barber. You will enjoy yours. Take camodaves advice also. Take a look at the green glass. I got a Prairie Predator that I had Mike put green glass on with shedua riser. It's nice.

Yes , I have my mind set on the green glass and Im thinking about zebra wood for the riser. Waiting on my wife to decide her limb glass, think she is going with the brown glass .
