I have 2 Howatt Hunters. The curved accent is HH4858 and is 43# left. The straight accent is HHP 2605 and is 40# left.I just received 4858 today and I would like to know the year the bows were made. Perhaps Larry Hatfield would be kind enough to take a look.

The top bow is a 1974 and the bottom is a 1972.

Actually, the bottom is a 1982...sorry about that...fat fingers.

It has the straight stripe but it's eight years newer with more wood below the grip and no point on the face...72-74 (and the odd '75) were the curved stripe bows.
