And it was a frog :) She is 6 and is the animal lover in our house. We all love animals but she isn't fond of the killing of them. She went down to our pond with her brother and I and was bound and determined to get herself a frog. Her brother who is the veteran frog Hunter of the house, put down his longbow to help her out. After 5 or 6 missed attempts on others she stuck this guy. She wasn't nearly as excited as her brother and I were but she did help clean it and as soon as her brother gets a few more we will be having a frog leg feast. As of now she says she does NOT want to hunt anymore......but we'll see about that :)

What a great smile! Kids process death very differently at different ages. Hopefully she will continue shooting the bow for now and then down the road the hunting will either come or not. Enjoy the ride! C

Don't worry about hunting, it will come. My Daughter can shoot with the best of them and knows more about fishing and hunting than most of the guys her age, and is one of the best blood trackers I know. Pip

Awesome photo and memory there!!! My 8 yo daughter has no interest in hunting, but she is a carnivore and she helps me grind venison when I process deer.
