1965. I have 2PM2238 and I figured it was made around July of 1965. Yours was probably made in late summer. I found the dating of the bows back in spring and kept the stuff. I'll find where I stashed it and post it in the thread.

A PM-xxxx with no number in front of it would be circa 1961 -62'. 3PM c1963/64 IIRC. The 4PMs and later had the more characteristic riser configuration.

From Jay Ryno: According to a questionaire I sent to Earl and Ann Hoyt here is the breakdown: 1. First PM add showed up in June, 1961. The original PMs were made until the 2PM showed up in Dec., 1964. 2PM's were made until Oct., 1965. 3446 were made. 3. 3PM's were made until Feb., 1966. 2619 were made. 4. 4PM's were made until Aug., 1969. 5525 were made. 5. 5PM's were made until ?. Earl and Ann did not indicate when production was stopped. 8328 were made. 6. 6PM. Earl and Ann indicated no record was kept. 7. The TakeDowns(T/D) models started in Aug., 1972.

Does anyone know the serial number spans for a Hoyt Pro Hunter?

Mine has no prefix number, just PH-XXXX.

I think the PM Hunters followed the same numeral series as the target bows with the addition of a "H" after "PM". I have 5PMH-241 62"-AMO-49# is what its beautiful hand written gold lettering says. Widows also had great hand written specs. Something that seems to be a lost art. My bow at 62" is smooth drawing and typical of the PM series quite fast.
