I've never owned a longbow but shot one that was loaned to me at the GLLI years ago. I now own a Martin Savannah. Will I be allowed to shoot it there ? MP

Hey Ron! I have that picture in my camper! (Or one much like it).

www.michiganlongbow.org should get everyone into the website with all the information under GLLI/events.

Going to be a great w/e with a ton of stuff going on. Turkey shoot, kids program, Silver Arrow, hawk throw, story time, trade blanket, ice cream, swimming, fishing, vendors, campfire music, food, 3-D courses, etc. The list goes on and on. But be prepared for an archery overload. Cause you will sure get a double dose of the longbow lifestyle at this years GLLI. Gonna be awesome.

Remember that members get discounts on shooting and merchandise. And if you have any old Sticktalks that you don't want bring them so that we can get them into the hands of new and potential longbow shooters.

I'm considering coming to the GLLI. What is the camping like? Showers, shade ect. Thanks

From: SJR Bows Professional Bowhunters Society - Associate Member Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 05-Aug-16

There are no showers on site it is primitive camping. There are spots where you can get in the shade just need to look over the whole area. Easier to get shade with a tent than a camper

Lots of shady camping sites. Go through the gate and turn left towards the lake and the swimming beach.

I was one of my favorite shoots when I lived in Michigan. It's one of the things I miss about Michigan.

Ron I keep lookin at that pic for myself but no me,lol. I've never been there since they left Marshal. I was talking to Jerry Hill about it n wanted to go but didn't have a longbow. jerry told me with 4 days left he could build me one but no time to mail it. So I met him at Marshal and got it from him there. He's a heckuva guy. Anyhow do you guys still have a lake for the alligator and the lake monster?
