I guess I am a fan of short bows but, will admit I shoot longer ones better. I find the short ones very handy especially turkey hunting can shoot sitting flat on the ground. Here is a little 50" takedown I finished up not long ago. It is a gonclo alves and maple riser black glass on the back, clear glass over waterfall bubinga veneers on the belly. She is 52# at 28" but really probably better suited to a 27" or under draw length.

"nrthernreble05 . I like my 54" for turkey hunting too" Yep the short ones work very well for turkeys in or out of a blind. Not bad for deer and other game as well.
