I'm looking for hunting quiver recommendations for Bear TD's. What do you like?

Does your Bear TD have side inserts? If so then a any of the popular side mount quivers can mount- Great Northern, Selway, Boa, Bear, etc. If a Mag riser there are other options.

I use a Selway slip on, goes on tight about to latches, works great and it's quiet.

Great Norhern works well if you have inserts. I like the old Bear single spring arm a lot. I replaced the gripper and it works like a charm when I want to carry more than 5 arrows.

Just bought a thunderhorn side mount small fry I really like on my A riser

what bolt size, mine either has bad threads or the GN bolt is the wrong size. My t/d is early 2000 model.

Bolt size should be 1/4 X 20 on your Bear bow.

I use a few different quivers. For my Bear green stripe takedowns I use either the 4 or 8 arrow vintage Bear spring arm quivers.

On my Bear brown stripe takedowns I use either a 3, 4, or 6 arrow kwikee kwiver. The way I mount the kwikee kwiver bracket on the riser is I use the upper bushing on the riser with a 1/4 X 20 bolt and the bottom part of the bracket I use 3M double sided tape so I don't need to drill any holes in the riser to mount another bushing. If you want to remove the bushing later heat up the tape with a hair dryer and it will come off. Then clean up with soapy water or a mild cleaning solution.

My Bear red stripe takedowns I bought the Great Northern bolt on side mount quiver. I have also used a Great Northern strap on quiver.

On the early models I go with the original Bear spring arm quiver.

Here is my Great Northern. I originally got it from Black Widow and it came with two screws. Bear uses 1/4x20 and Black Widow uses a smaller thread.

I shot Bear Takedowns for years and also used the Delta quiver. I've kept a couple Delta's in case I ever hunted with Bear T/D's again.

I like the Bighorn quiver on my wood riser TDs with inserts.

For my mag riser TDs I use a vintage Bear 4-arrow model.

I have an A and B riser coming just like Phil's. So, when I get a quiver I have to make sure that the screws are 1/4x20?

Yes

Like Smokin Joe I too use a Bear 4 arrow quiver on my Mags.

I find the Great Northern sits too close to the riser, the two arrows in the back of the quiver get hit by the bottom limb. Nobody else have this issue?

Jay B, I have a couple of GN I have used on many different bows with out a clearance issue on any of them. Bend the lower arm?

From: Jay B
Date: 01-Jul-16

Yeah, I thought of bending the arm, it would need to be heated to do so, I'm afraid it will get brittle and break. It works great on my Predator which has a thicker riser.

Could you possibly use some plastic washers.

From: Phil Magistro
Date: 01-Jul-16

I have no issues with my Great Northern on my Bear Takedown.

From: Jay B

My Take Down may be a bit more narrow in the bottom part of the riser, or my quiver has as shorter bottom arm. I will try the plastic washers, that will save me from trying to bend the quiver arm.
