I picked these up on the big auction site last week. Four brochures, all seem to be from the late 50s / early 60s. Can any of you Bear collectors tell me about them? Dates, scarcity, value?

Thanks

I have no idea where that photo came from. Let's try that again:

Here's the contents of the one that seems to be the oldest, the one that shows Fred Bear examining a dead black bear.

I'd love to be able to read through those. Awesome archery history there!!!

Here's the inside of one of the later ones, the one with the hunter posed next to a caribou. Sort of a mini catalog of Bear bows and accessories, with a couple pages on bow fishing gear.

Correction: these last two photos show the contents of the brochure with the bighorn sheep on the cover:

Welchman- The hunter with the caribou is Glenn St. Charles on his 1957 Little Delta hunt. The hunter with the ram is Bud Gray on the 1958 Little Delta Hunt. I was unsuccessful in identifying the photo with Knick and his goat but I believe it was around 1956. not sure on the date of Fred's bear photo either but I would speculate mid fifties. Great brochures btw, I wish I'd have seen them! Lance.

There was something that was so classy about the advertising from that era!

the man was a marketing genius. He changed the way that people saw archery with his videos and tv appearances.

Still my favorite broadhead. I have many and I even have quite a few of the old ones like in the pictures. Fred did a great job of advertising and had a good product in everything he sold.
