Has anyone heard of a Stemmler TarTar? 58" 40# 7Ti424 Bow is in pretty rough shape. Is it worth trying to refinish other then just some practice refinishing one?

Nice!!! That was a great bargain.

I'm pretty sure it is just an entry level bow, but when I looked on the bay, there hadn't been any listed in the last 60 days.

The Tartar was a mid range hunting bow. I is a very functional bow, not made to be beautiful. It was made to shoot arrows. In my opinion, any bow is worth finishing since it only takes a few bucks of finish and mostly elbow grease. Some of Stemmler's late 60's and early 70's bows were a bit fancier but all of them are good enough to take deer, small game, or hit a target. Enjoy them.
