We had a blast!! Great people, great course. This was our first time, and we were made to feel so welcome. The course was challenging, but not crazy, and the weather cooperated. We enjoyed every minute and came home with some bling. We will put this one on our permanent to go list.

Congratulations! That buckle is a big deal. Sorry to have missed it this year...would have been my third. No tornado?

Weather was very cooperative, rained at night, cloudy most of both days, so not blistering hot, just muddy.

Always a great shoot. Unfortunately I missed this one due to a medical issue. Congrats on your buckles. Hope to see you in Ft. Worth next year.

I there a policy about non-shooting spouses tagging along?

Jk my wife tags along at all the shoots and never has anyone said a thing. She even keeps score for me :)

She only writes down what someone else in the group calls. I never call my own shot....

I had a great time at this shoot. i was shooting in the selfbow class, and shot a personal best at this shoot. I finally broke 400! But, there was a gaggle of good selfbow shooters this year, so I did not buckle. I was 5th, and only 6pts out of 3rd (a buckle). If I had signed up in the Open class, i would have buckled! Oh, well, I'll go back next year and try to shoot a little better. The weather made everyone apprehensive, but could not have been better, considering all the storms that were around. The club did a great job of setting a fine course, even though they had to change some due to the creek conditions.

This shoot is also on my "Do Not Miss" list!

As far as Basinboy's wife goes, I have shot with him/them, and he usually shoots well enough to win, or be right up at the top without help from her!!!

Mark,

Basinboy(Corey) is probably one of the "perennial favorites" with or without his wife. You wont meet a much better guy than him. IF i'm not mistaken, he shot a 351 at Chester(which placed). Got 1st in one of our state shoots, and placed in top 5 at the Tennessee Classic.

But, his wife(Joy) was keeping score at most of those.. ;)

I tried to talk her into putting a couple of his 10's on my cards, but she just wouldn't do it..

It's ok guys Mark is welcome to come shoot with me anytime and he can carry the score cards.... Yes I took first in longbow modern and traditional classes at Chester but my wife wasn't carrying score cards for either of those rounds. She was carrying score cards when I shot the modern recurve class and I came in 10th place She is not doing a very good job if she's padding my scores lol

One of my buddies was keeping score for our group. Somebody called out, "George, you got a five." Without missing a beat, George replied, "That's what you think."
