I got a MOAB from Jim last year. Real nice longbow. Very fast and smooth. Quiet too. I'm planning ordering another D/R longbow next year, maybe five to seven pounds heavier than my MOAB. As Jim may not make them any more, I wonder is there any other longbow shoot like moab? I really like my moab. It's the most accurate bow of mine.

To paraphrase Mr. Stout you will need to try before you buy...the qualities that make the MOAB your most accurate shooter may be different for the rest of us...I have owned quite a few D/R longbows and quite frankly have never had one that I did not like and shoot reasonably well...your other option of course is to go to the classifieds, although one does not often see MOAB for sale

Thank you Dave. That's the truth. I love all bows I have ever bought. But moab is my favorite. Hoping I'll find some bow shoot like my moab.

I would be looking at the Shrew as Ron posted above, or the Griffin, or the Centaur. All great bows for sure.

I understand your frustration about liking the grip on a bow that is no longer made...the best grip I have ever used is on my Ancient Spirits Kadiak

Rasp's were made for customizing grips.

The thunderstick mag actually shoots better to me compared to the moab. I wish someone would pick up the torch and continue to produce them

I know Big Jim will make you any grip you want on his Buffalo or Thunderchild. He would probably need a Moab to duplicate it.
