I did the Iron Man at Standing Stone years ago. One guy I was shooting with finished with a broken arrow. Still had enough shaft left to shoot. I don't think I made it too far through the course:).

Guy's i will be calling Jim Martin of Mahantango Custom Bows and see if i can get him out to shoot. I told him about the shoot and would remind him and if he needs a ride i'll pick him up.

TTT!!! Guys, I talked to Jackdaw today who was with Monkeyball and Manantango and did he sound exicted. These guys are going to put on an awsome shoot and they are still brain storming on many of the shot setups on how to make them better. Again i shot there last yr and it was well worth the 2 1/2 hr drive that i had and can't wait for June 18!!!!!....Gary

I posted on another site and will be there, with or without my buds. Sounds like an awesome shoot. I too have about a 2, 2 and 1/2 hour drive. Looks as though it will be well worth the drive. I know a lot of you guys from Pennsy attend our shoot at Whittingham so more than happy to return the favor. Now for some nice weather.

From: mahantango
Date: 05-Jun-16

Yeah, the plans are really coming together. Hopeful the weather will cooperate.

Will be there in the morn. One question. How many scorers do you have for the Iron Bear course? I'm thinking there will be quite a few shooting that one. Keep our own scores? Fellow shooters keep each others?

What a great shoot!!! A big thanks to the fine members of Mid-Penn who were on hand serving up some good food, a good bunch of guys and to Craig,John,Paul and who ever i missed...Awsome job my friends!!!

To all who were not able to make it, you missed a great shoot. The target layout was one of the best i ever shot. It was a great mix of distance and some easy shots to get your A game on shooting. The Iron Bear was the icing on the cake, many of the targets you had to thread the needle to get in the scoring rings. I got knocked out on 2nd target, my super woodie broke in two when i glanced off a bunch of sapplings. I shot the rest of the course and faired well even though i was now just shooting for fun. The weather was great and talked to many of friends and meet some new ones.

Thanks again and looking forward to next year!!!

Would just like to say that I had a great time yesterday. The course setup was perfect with some really challenging shots intermixed with a couple of gimmes, that turned out to be not such gimmes. I had the "honor" of bringing the winner of the Iron Bear course with me. Ken is from NY. Also the runnerup, Scott from Jersey. They had a "shoot_off" as they were tied at the end of the Iron Bear with 30 pts. each. I won't go into the details of that "shoot-off", which was at the hanging apple, except to say it provided many laughs. Suffice to say that it was a good thing that apple wasn't on top of someone's head. Thanks to Jackdaw, Yewbender, Monkeyball and any others I've forgotten for the obvious hard work on the setup. I would highly recommend attending next year for those unable to make it this year. You'll have a great time.

Agree stykman. These guys did a fantastic job of setting up a course that should have pleased all. This shoot has the potential to turn into a big one! Congrats on a successful weekend to Monkeyball,Jackdaw and Mahantango and all involved. Thanks Midd Penn Club.

The shoot off was awsome and I was laughing so hard i was crying! I'm glad it wasn't me in there because Scott and Ken were both very tired in the end.

Update on the "shoot-off". On the drive back to Jersey, Ken and Scott both threatened that if the specifics of that "display of shooting prowess" were ever to be revealed, I would never be able to draw and anchor a stickbow again. 'Nough said. :)

Congratz Ken and Scott, it was fun shooting with you guys.
