Here is one I just finished up for a short drawing friend of mine looking for a bow sized to fit him and his draw, but suited for elk hunting in Colorado. It is 53 inches long and 64# @ 21". Just like a normal drawlength bow, just scaled down to fit a shotgun style draw. Tips are Brazilian walnut. Wood is of course Osage. Lots of neat character in this one. One heck of a knot cluster on the top limb.

Bull elk will come close just to take a look at that bow and figure out if its friend or foe. Very nice work.

That looks SWEET. How do you get the tip overlays so neat and clean without scratching the bow???

Thanks Again guys. Renegade- I sculpt the tips before gluing them on. :-)
Phil- I always use steam for go uniform, hands free heating. Once steamed well for 20- 30 minutes, put it in my recurve form and bend it down to where I want it. I have no set standard for limb width, but I like roughly in the 1.75" range.
I do have a book on it all if anyone is interested.
