TwinOaksBowhunters will be hosting the 8th annual IBO Traditional world again this year at or club at 1079 Ashley rd. Chapmansboro, TN.37035. on July 15/16/17 2016. can someone tell me why you can yuse a 2 peice takedown long bow in the LB shoot but you cant yuse a 3 peice takedown in the LB shoot or am i rong, thats the way i read it in the IBO rules, or did i read it rong? thanx.,.

Alphamale,,,,dont even go into why some of the rulesand classes are like they are. There is no explaining somethings. Everyone has their own idea of what should be what.

In longbow it has to be either one or two piece, woods arrows, no feather restrictions.

Modern longbow can be a three piece, whatever arrow, minimum 4 inch feather or vane.

Senior long bow,,,,same rules as longbow, except can be a three piece.

Dont try to rationalize it, you will get a headache. Just figure out the rules and how to play,,,then go play

Got A range set yesterday and setting B today, setting C Saturday then on to the Hunter Challenge range. We like to get them out early so we have time to tweak anything we see that might be needed. Also getting a pretty good vendor list going. We are up to 10 or 12 now and that is pretty good for this event. Pappy

Ya it is beginning to, we have a working tomorrow , but then after the working a fish fry to take the edge off.LOL. We hope to get the Hunter Challenge range set in the morning, then just some tweaking of the courses and clean and straighten around the club. I hope to have the list of events and times confirmed and up for yall next week, as of now we have the Lancaster Mixed team shoot off Friday evening 5:30pm, the spot shoot and C&D Long distance shoot Friday and Saturday from 10am till 3pm with shoot off at either 3:30 or 4 Saturday evening, undecided on shoot off time just now. Then the C&D/Arvin Weaver/TwinOaks Hunter Challeng self bow 12 person shoot off at 5pm Saturday evening, The 3Rivers Hunter Challenge 32 person shoot off at 6pm Saturday evening. Should be a fun filled weekend. Pappy

JRW we are having a long range shoot and the shoot off will be Sat after noon . BUTT there's a catch to the whole thing !!!! LOL LOL LOL Butt the prize will be worth it ! This is sponsored by CD and Dryad . Cal

Yep a little twist to it but it will be fun, we will run it from Friday 10am until 3pm and Saturday 10am until 3pm and shoot off right after the spot shoot , shoot off starting at 3:30, then on to the Hunter Challenge [C&D Archery/Arvin Weaver/TwinOaks] 12 person self bow shoot down and then on to the 3 rivers Hunter Challenge 32 person shoot down. Hoping and trying to get there. Went to Comptons a few weeks back and couldn't have enjoyed it more. It was my first event and I now want to go to all of them.

Ronnie, I'm not sure about the young one at this event, I'm sure there are. If you make it, I have no doubt that you'll be back for next year's Twi Oaks Classic, the first weekend in May, 2017. OUTSTANDING EVENTS, both of them.

Are spectators allowed on the ranges

IBO rules section F5 says only that spectators cannot interfere, implying they can be present if they behave.

can i shot both courses sat.or do you have to shot one fri. and one sat.

You can shoot both qualifiers in one day , but there is also the hunters course, which is a separate competition and the top 32 men/16 women have a shoot down on sat evening.

Just about loaded up. Should be there before noon tomorrow. Nancy says there's no hurry, so we won't set the alarm, just leave after we wake up in the morning. That's fine with me. I'll wake up around 5 or 5:30 anyway, and get her and Joshua on the road!
