I was looking at the Damon Howatt website and in the traditional bows only a few have a graphic that states Made in the USA. Are the Hunter and Mambas now made over seas?

With so many fine vintage Damon Howatt bows available, that were made by people that knew how to build a bow, my question is why bother.

Please say it isn't so.

If you look at the Damon Howatt site, they say they're all made in the US. If you view them under the Martin Archery site, they don't say where they are manufactured. I'd have to assume they are still made here.

At one time I think the Martin recurves were made over seas and the Howatts were made here. Now a days with the company under new control of a non-archery company it's hard telling.

To my knowledge, unless they changed within the last few months, they have been importing the Martin recurves and building the Damon Howatt bows here.

Go to the Howatt website and click on Damon Howatt bows. It's pretty clear there. Only Martin's takedowns and the cheaper line is imported, the Damon Howatt are still made here. That said, Larry Hatfield isn't there anymore so you may want to ask about any changes since he left.
