Just acquired a Wing Archery Falcon. My 3rd. Had a 30# Head Ski Era and a 35# AMF Era and just got a 25# Wings Archery Original from a buddy for $50. He asked me to refinish it for him and I strung it up and shot it and OH YEAH, I GOTTA GET THIS ONE!! I post pics when I get her restored. She's pretty rough right now. Most of finish is gone but good shape otherwise. Love me some Wings. Randy

I just acquired my second Wing (Third if you count my Bob Lee). I got it from my son, an AMF Swift Wing at 35#. I have a RWH that I can't seem to put down. They seem to fit me real well.

Falcon is definitely a SLEEPER BOW!
Friend picked up an AMF Falcon for $20 at a shop and right now I'm in process of refinishing. Also ADDING TIP AND RISER OVERLAYS to spruce it up a bit. :-)
I'm a better shot with that Falcons then with most of my other bows!

My AMF Wing Falcon is quite different from the other two. It is 4" longer and slimmer and white glass instead of brown. Of the three I like the Head Ski best because it has the prettiest wood of the three. The AMF is the smoothest I think because of the extra 4" length. I ain't getting rid of any of them. Randy

Got first coat of Tru-Oil on today but forgot to take pics of sanded bow before finish. Riser wood is plain as can be. I thought about staining it darker but then it wouldn't be original and I'm a blued steel and walnut kinda guy. Worried about decals looking ok but I think they will be ok. Stay tuned as I return another bow to its glory. Randy Any one got any idea of it's birthdate? Randy

Nice work sig! Make sure you get the woodgrain in the riser filled. I would guess a little newer than 1964 because of the slightly squared heel on the grip.

Got the 3rd coat of Tru-Oil on today. Sanded between coats with 600 grit paper. Gonna let this coat dry for a couple days and then go aver it with rubbing compound and then polishing compound to smooth everything out. Then I'll put on a feather rest and a new string I'm making and some wool silencers I made and see what we got. This will be my first string. My buddy had 8 1/4 lb. spools of Brownells B50 he got at estate sale along with this bow and sold the string to me for $20. I offered more but he said no, 20 is fine. Randy

Looking good Randy and good luck making your strings. It's not that hard, you'll get the hang of it. JF

Looks good Randy. You can also text the bow in your lap and push down on the limb tips at the same time. This will help it seat in. JF

She's Finished! Got the string made and the feather rest and strike plate on. Gonna shoot her tomorrow at the 3D shoot we have here. I'll let the finish harden for about a week before I finish rubbing her out. Randy
