Has anybody had experience brushing on Thunderbird epoxy bow finish and then rubbing it out. Do not want to go to the trouble of spraying. Capt Kirk

It can be done, a small airbrush works real well too and cleanup on one isn't too bad. If you only spray one at a time a small pasche, badger, or even knock off craft type airbrush works well. I have big and small hvlp guns and a big compressor but will grab the little airbrush if I am spraying a single bow. I did brush one before too, just have to be okay with sanding a bit more to get it real nice.

Yeah really. Glad to see U choosing Thunderbird. It is good stuff. But I would invest in some spray equipment, I mean, it's what we do. Give up something else.

I have in years past...long ago after applying snakeskins. Use lighty and be carefull not to glob. A couple 2-3 coats and use very fine steel wool after each one. Of course like everyone is saying.....spray is best. Regards

When I re-finished my stairway and railing I decided to use Thunderbird for its toughness and brushed it on. It lays done really well and levels better than any polyurathane I have tried.
The great finish makes me think that it will brush on really well. If you do it when it is cool then it will not set as fast and give it more leveling time. I think it will come out great.
