Been outta trad shooting for a few years. Looking for opinions on the best string makers out there. Preferably those who install cat whiskers and tied nocking points vs. brass.

How would a string maker, regardless of how skilled they are, be able to set your string nock to the proper spot? Without seeing your bow, your rest, or watching your arrows fly?

fdp...I will set the nocks when I tune the bow. Tied on string nocking points are usually adjustable by turning them up or down the serving until you get them where they need to be. I typically put a dab of super glue on them once the string is shot in.
Bob...I shot trad for 23 years...used to make both endless and flemish strings for several years myself...to include tying on my own nocking points and installing silencers. I also even my a few of my own bows. But being a business owner cuts into my fun time. I would prefer to shoot my bow rather than tinker with it. I buy my flies for fishing too rather than tie them myself although I did that for years also. Should I stop fly fishing as well?

Great reply freshta!!! I've never used him, but I know 10ringstrings will do all of what you asked for. I get mine from a guy in South Dakota. He doesn't install anything, but they are well made and a few bucks cheaper than anyone else. A good stringmaker is like a barber you've went to for years,,,hard to go anywhere else ;)
And I understood exactly what you were asking. Seems others are just being a little ornery.
