Today's shot will be the 'Vertical Obstruction' shot at 20 yards give or take. Make it so you've got to shoot between some things to get to the kill zone. Shoot safe!

This pic is the idea...

Flash, did you get any pigs yesterday?

God Bless,

CD

Good morning shot as called 20 yards through obstructions in the kill zone maybe a bit high but I'll take it. Used my great northern ghost recurve today haven't shot it in a while cause I've been on a longbow kick but it's a sweet bow and shoots great. Thanks for the call CD have a great day everyone-Dan

I haven't made the shot yet today, but what do you find more challenging, the obstructions near the target, or near the bow?

Hit the right stick and it kicked the arrow outside to the right. Not too good today.

Near the target for me, the more distance for my arrow to travel, makes it harder. IMO. JF

I'm with bodymanbowyer on this one jusPassin the farther away the obstruction the harder it is I think. I really enjoy these shots though I find myself holding at anchor a bit longer and really focusing on the target wish I would on all my shots but I seem to release almost as soon as I hit anchor normally. Not sure if it's just more of a busy target or what but I really notice a difference. Nice shooting guys- Dan

Good afternoon FS. Shot as called. A very dangerous shot at 20 yd., especially if my wife would have seen me shooting through her flowers. Using my 62" SAGE 40#. It's a nice day here in Central MS.

Thanks for the call CD. God bless the USA!!!

Hey guys I ran out and did a quick shot at 20 yards and I forgot to put the objects up, I will do better, so much going on here.

Thanks for the call CD.

Bow; American Native Longbow 60" 40lbs @ my draw

Arrows: Easton 500 gold tips with 4" feathers and 125 grain tips.

Not a real good shot, but I've never seen an arrow glow, you don't suppose the gods have something to do with this. HaHa!

No sense posting a photo. My first shot bounced off the obstruction. Tomorrow's another day. CD, please don't make tomorrow's FS the horizontal obstruction.

This was fun. I combined a little bare shaft testing with this shot. First view is the shot, second the results. Using a 15/35 with 125 head out of 48# Ram Hunter recurve.

Got home late, grabbed my bow and head out before darkness, still in my tie and button-down. Thanks for the call CD. To answer the question above, I find obstructions close to the target easier than those in between...I can see my aim point so I figure my arrow can find its way to that point but I manage to find limbs and sticks pretty often. Shot taken as called with my go-to bow. I can't do any better than that, so I took my picture, pulled my arrow and ....
