I just wanted to say thanks, it was a great time and very successful for us. The numbers were down for the first time in 19 years but I don't blame that on the weather but the weather man. It rained a little but not bad at all. We had 518 registered so still very pleased with the turn out. Hope everyone had a good time I know I sure did. Thanks for all that made it. I got to meet lots of new folks and I love that. See ya in July. Scores should be up on our web site in a few days. [twinoaksbowhunters.org.] Pappy

Pappy, What David said. Everyone should be thanking you! The courses were (as they are every year) outstanding. Those extra wood chips made a great camp site for the trailer. Hope you remembered to hide those antlers from the other club members!

I'd like to thank Pappy and all the twin oaks crew for hosting a great weekend.

The weather forecast had us a little hesitant, but we decided to chance it and drove two cars down from Pa. (Pappy said we would probably just catch the "tail end" of the weather). :^)

It was a great decision. The courses were great, hanging around the vendor/activity areas was just as much fun. We met some great people, actually shot pretty well, and just had a enjoyable, relaxing weekend.

I can't wait to do it again.

By the way, does anyone know what foam targets Twin Oaks were using as their practice "bales"

From: Clydebow

Maybe Blob Targets?

From: Graysquirrel

The targets Pappy uses comes from Georgia. A carpet manufacturing uses the waste product from their pads to make them. They are formed by pouring the liquid foam junk into a cardboard box. I bought two of them 4 years ago when I went to the classic. They are still going strong.

They are a bit hard on wood arrows though. The foam acts as fine sandpaper and will work on the wood behind the point

My wife and I had a great time at our 2nd Ten classic this year. We arrived a few days early and really enjoyed having the extra time to get to know some great folks. I had such a great time last year at my first classic that I've made a commitment to be there every year from now on. Great people, great event, a good time was had by all! Thanks to Pappy and all the staff that make this awesome event possible! Look forward to seeing everyone there next year.

Dang it! I should've been there, but life had to up and grab me by the balls. I'll be there in July no matter what. I'll sell a bow if I have to...

The targets we use now are Blob targets, he was set up at the shoot to the left as you come down the drive. Bob is right we use to get them out of Georgia and these are made about the same but had trouble with the guy from Georgia so we have been using blob for 3 or 4 years now. Great targets. Glad yall enjoyed it Travis. Pappy
