Got one on the way, wood colored limbs, 46@28, 60". I draw 29.5, wondering what people think of them as their main hunting bow? Will it handle my 29.5" draw,? What arrows would you suggest? I use 145 grain Bear heads so the arrow would be matched to those. Any info on them appreciated. Thanks, Craig.

The Stallion is a great bow. Too bad they are no longer made. Yes it will handle your DL. Quinn limbs are bomb proof. I suggest you go to the 3River site and use their spine calculator. That way you can enter all your specific data. My guess is that a 500 spine shaft will fit your needs, but much depends on the weight of the shaft you pick, length of the shaft, strike plate position, and string type.

You could shoot. 400 out of that bow, since they are cut so far past center. It'll handle 29.5" just fine.

First dibs when it goes on the swap and trade people!!

Your getting a fine shooting bow Craig. Handle gets a little cold during wintery mornings. When I had mine I wrapped the handle with athletic foam wrap and tape.

Stallions are great bows, I've owned a few and I'm sure I'll own another one in the future. If you bought the bow I think you bought, you got the deal of the decade;). Enjoy!

Great bow. I draw 30". Mine is the 64" model, but it is very smooth all the way back. I am shooting .400 carbons at 31" with 150gr points.

Best take down I own! It's all most boring to shoot?,,,,nice tight groups,,,then if I try really hard I get nicer tighter groups,,,,,,,,as far as cold handle,,,,,I got that all figured out,,,,,Mine has this hollow spot in the riser opposite of my bow hand,,,I just activated a dry hand warmer pack and stuff it in the hole hold it in place with piece of camo tape ,,,,then I can keep both hands warm Jeff w

David Quinn's daughter, Terry, shot a Quinn Stallion to tie Denise Parker for 1st place at the USA World Indoor Trials years ago..... they shoot :)

Never ever heard of another hunting bow ever do that....ever

I really liked mine (and I hate 3 piece bows)! The grips are fantastic and the bow is bomb proof. I had 60" and 64" limbs. I did like the longer ones better, but the 60" will work fine for you. Quinn's limbs (particularly the tips), we're not much to look at, but they shot very nicely!

i've had mine many years the Quinns are/were old friends from Baffalo Field Archery back to the 60s i use my 32# limbs to teach & coach with my heavier limbs are 50#

BTW: If anybody has a pair of 50# 60" Stallion limbs they want to unload, here's where you can unload 'em;).
