I won't be able to travel from Illinois to the shoot, but I am grateful to see the continued memorial to one of the very finest men I ever hope to know! Jerry was a true gentleman and a fine friend. Sure do miss him...

Lots of sites left, I just reserved site 19.
This place will fill up. Go to Reservation.gov, lookup Persimmon Hill on lake Enid and make a reservation for a camping or trailer spot.
If you are an oldie like me and have an interagency senior pass a two night stay with water and electricity costs a mere $18.

Like Eric said, the campground will fill up. I made the mistake of not reserving a site in advance once and ended up having to stay at Cossar state park which is about a 20min drive from the shoot. It's definitely worth booking a site online!

Another thing; even though all the sites are trailer sites they each have a huge area for tents behind the trailer pad. It is not unusual for a group to reserve a trailer site and set up tents on the site. They allow 12 people per site so group camping is possible.
There are still some sites available close to the bath houses that would be convenient for tent campers. The bathhouses are modern with heat and air conditioning.
