Darien Lake is near Buffalo. He also opened for Bob Seger at the First Niagara Center and we drove out for that. I'm a drummer, and Love the classic rockers!!!

Hillbillyking, Only a D Bow Qualifies as a longbow too me and shot wth wood or boo arrows too Now thats Just me iam not tring too make rules for any one but ME

Then why did you say anything if you were not making rules!

Some of these bows could be questionable as what is considered a longbow, but who gives a flip, this is a bow site that friendly archers get together and talk and show what they have proudly.

Please, lets look at these beautiful bows and keep the nitpicking out of this.......Thanks folks.......wing

Nothing against you Hillbillyking, just trying to keep from arguing among ourselves, we need to stick together as a brotherhood, not alienate each other. hope you understand, Thanks

Thanks for saying that, wingstrut. All this "Well that is not a REAL longbow" garbage does nothing but cause division in a thread and on a site where things should be amicable and friendly

Beautiful bows! I'm a recurve shooter but really appreciate the simple beauty of a nice longbow.

This is a 64" Buffalo Bow from Big Jim in ebony and maple burl. I sold it a while back and wish I hadn't, one of the prettiest bows I've had.

Willard "Buck" Doran selfbow, made in Duluth, MN, for my father the year before he joined the Navy and went off to fight ... the Empire of Japan, i.e., in 1943.

That's not a typo, and it still shoots like a dream. Except when the temp drops below 25 ºF, when it stays inside.
