That's why it's cool to keep at least 1, 2 blade in the quiver in ass you need a small knife you can just break the arrow off if needed and keep a small handle on it in a pinch.

Here's mine. Working on sheath now. Randy

I have one that I took in on a trade. Similar to hellbenders. These are pretty simple cool little cutters. Can be made out of most any handle material,an insert and a broadhead. Scrap leather and some time and you have something cool. I have plans on making some for gifts tis summer.

I'd check local laws; some states don't allow double-edged knives for carry. I suppose you could grind one edge flat/dull.

Hellbender, I like that! Nice sheath also. DJ

STOS 145 gr., and individual tie-on broadhead sheath that came with a custom made bow I bought several years ago.

Do you use epoxy to hold the insert and broadhead in place? Rich

From: White Falcon
Date: 26-Mar-16

Yes, I do!

From: ronpurdy

"ronpurdy did you carve that handle? Nice!" No Sir, I did not. I am not that talented... It's a really cool knife! The pics don't do it justice.

Really neat stuff here, fellas.

From: CATK

I used epoxy as well, and it's actually pretty solid. My antler handle is not but three inches long, so slim chance I'll put too much torque on it and cause the insert to break, or dislodge from the antler.

I went a different direction. But the handle is fantastic

These things are pretty cool, but if you are wearing a pointed antler tine around your neck, you're setting yourself up for a bad puncture wound if you fall.

From: Burly
Date: 28-Mar-16

Stickhead, I really like that sheath. I am glade I looked at this thread ,it gave me some ideas for some of the sheds I have found. All the knives look great guy's, nice work.

Is a marine epoxy finish good on handles?

From: 4nolz@work
Date: 29-Mar-16

Jay I think the idea is to controlled cut your safety strap if you fall.

From: N. Y. Yankee

In my neck of the woods any knife with two blades is a dagger and is illegal in NY. All knives can only have one single sharp edge per blade.

From: Stickhead
Date: 29-Mar-16

I thought those silly rules were only in NYC, not the entire state.

Here is my first one. Made it Sat...These things are almost as addictive as bows! I'm gonna make another one with the antler turned the opposite way and see how I like it before making a sheath.
