Held at Tannehill Historical State Park in McCalla, AL.

Folks, Tannehill Historical State Park is an absolutely beautiful place for hosting a Traditional Archery event.

The park has approximately 300 improved camping sights (water, electric & some sewer hook-up), as well as unlimited primitive camping areas.

I'll be posting lots of photos of the Park along the way.

When entering the Park, here's the entrance where you're greeted by one o the friendly Park Staffers. If you're camping, you won't have to pay an entrance fee to the Park.

If you're not camping, you'll pay once to get into the Park, then check with me at the registration table to receive a Park Pass so you can come and go without paying again.

If you come in after hours and your camping, you can pay the Park Ranger, or set up camp and go to the Tannehill General Store the next morning and pay then.

Here's the General Store where you register to camp. While there, you cam also pick up a few supplies such as TP, paper towels, snacks, some food items, propane and other helpful items for your convenience.

I think I told you last year that an acquaintance of mine won that several years ago. And a guy that he trained won that a few years later ; part of the La Outdoors shop in pearl river.

Don't forget satisfying that sweet tooth by visiting Tannehill's Sweet Shop, GOOD STUFF!!

There's also a few great camper hook ups at Farley Field (where all the action is), although limited and if you want one of these, you need to get here early. It IS a first come basis.

linecutter, I fished there the last 2 years. I asked the lady at the store about it the first year I went and she just stated $2 a day. I asked about the license and she said no need while on the park and I was camping. I checked again last year and it was the same way.

Looks like a great shoot. The only problem I see is that it's the HOWARD HILL SHOOT. I didn't see one longbow being shot? LOL. Wish I could go this year. Hopefully next.

Thomas, believe me, there's more longbow shooters here than you can shake a stick at. NOW, with that being said, there were nearly as many recurve shooters here as well. LONGBOW, still had the most.
