This is my new Wapiti recurves. I have had the opportunity to see many of Keith's bows, this is by far the best I've seen. Words can't describe the pleasure felt when shooting this thing. Keith custom shaped the riser for me to match my Wapiti Spike III lb.

Kieth makes a great shooting bow. I have owned both his recurve and spike longbows over the years. Love that riser on yours.

Can we see it unstrung? Lots of cool stuff right there, almost kinky limbs? The riser reminds me of something too but I can't put my finger on it, maybe an old wing bow

I'll post an unstrung pic tonight. He has a really funky curve in his limb design.

I've had 5 of them. They fast smooth pulling bows. That's a nice one you have.

I've had two of his recurves. I really like how that grip turned out.

Wonderful bow you got there, I like mine and would like him to reshape the grip like yours just to chicken to ask.

I have a Spike and the riser fits me like a glove.Keith is a great guy and been making bows for many years and knows what he's doing. This is definitely a beautiful exhibition of his work

That long sweeping fadeout wedge that Keith puts in his bows amazes me. Very nice.

I have been tossing around getting a Wapiti. More specifically a Spike III. Seeing your recurve has pushed me over the edge. It also makes me want to order a matching twin! Nice bow!

I have a Spike III as well, as much as I like my recurve my favorite is my Spike III.

Keith has made fine looking bows for a long while - this one is from 1998 -

I have never owned any of his bows, but was tempted at various times, the photos in his literature years ago were very plain. A local shop started to rep them at one point and I thought they were really handsome bows in person, like yours is. I love a low grip.

While doing research, I read a lot of comments about them not being pretty bows. My main use is hunting, so a bow that has high gloss is going to be covered with something by me anyway. I bought a bow this winter that had a very matte finish. Love it! I can't wait to take a picture of my quarry this fall.

Now... Back to picking woods so I can order my next pretty Wapiti!

I love my Wapiti recurve and Kieth was great to deal with.

I've never really understood why Keith's bows aren't more popular than they are.

As for the pretty, he is always improving the finish and things on his bows. The only thing he never changes is the limb, and he doesn't need to change that.

Did these bows use to have ball bearings for limb alignment years ago?

From: Double Lung

What is the brace height for the spike III? Trying one from RMS this weekend.

"Did these bows use to have ball bearings for limb alignment years ago?" not that I ever recall.

From: mgerard Compton's Traditional Bowhunters

Apparently the recurve with the ball bearing alignment was a Howatt T/d. Thought the model was a Wapiti sold through Bow Hut at that time. I ordered a Jim Dougherty T/D and what they sent didn't even look like the pictures.
