Jay only recently began making the 66" yew Thunderbird, which is fairly identical in construction to his 63" yew Thunderbird.
I have several 63" and 66" all-yew Thunderbirds cut RH. They are light, thin, and delicate in the hand. Mine are in lighter target weights. I really enjoy shooting the 66". Its length gives it a slight "target bow" feel with its longer string's draw angle, though without the mass and weight of a more dedicated target bow. I perceive a touch... just a touch ... more authority on the shot from the 66". However, the 63" has virtually the same authority, and I would be (and have been) content shooting that bow all day long, as well.
He has also just introduced a new model called the "Thunderbird 1953 Original" that comes in both 63" and 66". These bows use maple and walnut in the riser and (I believe) maple in the limbs with an option for yew limbs. I haven't shot one of these, so I know nothing of their nature, though their construction is nearly identical to the yew Thunderbird.
Hope this helps.
