Ahh if Fred hadn't been creamed he'd be rolling in his grave right now if I had to guess.
Quality at its finest. I'd send them back or ask to get a discount for something like that.
Of course I don't get a lot with how Bear makes bows anymore. They want to kinda hold on to their legacy, but aren't. Its like they're ultra proud of what they made in the 90s and 2000s. Which wasn't too bad, but nothing to write home about either. But what they are making now is the just half junk if your buying a KM, Grizzly, 48, or anything in that cheeper price range. And then you have all these TD issues I see which is really weird.
They should start making bows like they were pre-78. Pre-72 would be even better. Knew a guy who was a dealer in the 60s. He sold the dealership because the Victor ownership was making "lesser quality bows". Maybe its the same issue, different time scenario. I'd just like to see better quality silk screens, solid wood risers (no more plywood), maple limb cores on the back and belly (Grizzly I'm looking at you), and an option to have a gloss finish.
I know, I'm dreaming. Especially with the custom Bear thread already discussing this.

I can see I may have to rephrase this question.

When the limbs are installed what's the tiller like ? You may have a mismatched set . Occasionally you'll find ONE limb for sale..as the other one broke. I've bought quite a few single limbs. Eventually you can get a good match tiller wise... but the silkscreens COULD be upside down on one , or both of them. I have one nicely matched pair that one limb is white and the other black! Was always going to remedy that... but it's great to see the reaction at a shoot!

Well...then you got yourself a genuine factory screw up ! Lot of that going around. I think I'd still check the tiller!

I once ordered a "target" from Bear, to use with my 50# bows. No problem with the shipping, the target arrived on time only thing is it was for a forty pound bow. There was nothing in the packaging or attached to the target denoting the poundage rating. It was only after two weeks of constant practice that the target began to fall apart. I contacted Bear and learned that that particular target was rated for a 35 to 40# bow maximum! That turned me off of "Bear" products permanently.

At least you got them. I have a new model 59 Kodiak that came without the "Kodiak" silkscreen.
