What a coincidence. A friend of mine is in Idaho for a lion hunt and he just texted me to look up this bow. The outfitter has two. I too have never heard of it. I researched and saw some posts on TG but that was back in '09. Would be interested in some updated info also.

I did a thread on my once JT 44 Little Suckling bow: http://leatherwall.bowsite.com/TF/lw/thread2.cfm?threadid=237551&category=88#3231755
There's a picture of a KT (limbs on front of riser instead of rear of riser like the JT) on it. As well if you do a thread search for suckling, you will find a bunch of threads on LW of this bow.

I bought a used JT 44 about 8 years ago, I didn't shoot it very much because I didn't like the high wrist grip..I sold it to a guy who hunted on the ground. I had one that I bought from Bearfoot Traditions here in Iowa. It was a great little bow. It shot well, and, believe it or not, it didn't stack at my 28" draw. Sadly, I don't have it anymore. I sold it or traded, I can't remember.

Got to sit down and talk with Kiko back in the late 80's. You would never know you were talking to a bowhunting legend.

I had an outfitter I used several times in Idaho for bear. He was wanting either a KT44 or JT44 - I was fortunate and found one for him. I have seen a few pictures of him with the bow. There have been plenty of times I wished I had kept the bow for myself:)

Do a search for the "38 Special" if you think that KT44 is short. Yes, very cool little bows.
I have shot the KT44 and thought I hit a wall around 28". That was not a really bad thing since I knew I was at full draw, but did not care for the very high wrist.
I can only imagine what the "38" would be like.

I have one. Great ground hunting bow. One bow that I will never part with. Yes, it does hit a wall at 28" but that is my draw length so it's perfect.

Here are some pictures of my 44” Little Big Bow. One is with laminated Walnut/Hard Maple riser and another with Osage. The bow is very fast and without “stacking” till 28” draw. I’ve made a lot different types of bow but this one is one of my favourites.

I like the looks of the KT much better than the JT I had!
So is that bow actually being shot left handed off the right handed shelf split finger or was that just a pose?? I see four fingers on the string so perhaps a tertiary "sioux" release?

RH bow shot LH, WITH the arm guard on the drawing arm, not the bow arm? Oh and the guard is on the outside of the forearm. Methinks that gent is something of a curiosity. I am reminded of the recent photos of Prince Philip drawing a bow in Bhutan ... All that aside these shorty bows have their own brand of cool.
