Took some pictures of some new acquisitions today and decided to post them.

I found this beauty on the big auction site that not many folks were interested in and I'm glad of it!

I believe it is a 1960 Phantom Pistol Grip...Fred can confirm that. I also asked him the significance of the name "Roy" over the draw weight on the bottom bump of the riser.

It's 45# and 66"...first Fasco in my collection and I don't know why...I had bid on others but really liked the looks of this one and lucked out. Four lams in the limbs, the Brazilian Rosewood riser is stunning and the tips are smaller than a bug's ear!

A beautiful California bow in excellent condition...well done Skookum!!

More of the face of the riser...eye candy...and hopefully it's not Al Pacino again! Haha!

Hey Jeff!! How have you been? Long time, no see. Hope all is well. Got a few more 50's Roots since we last spoke...that one that was in your family that you refurbished has loads of soul!! Keep well and good luck if you're hunting! Pete

Except for the decal, which isn't clear in the pic, it sure has Gordon Plastics written all over it. I haven't seen a Fasco with that kind of serial stamp and weight mark on the handle.

That was probably one that Mart Mathew used to teach Fred how to make a decent limb tip.

It is strange eh Jim? The stamps and placement of the weight is textbook Gordon but the decal is indeed Fasco. Here's the 1960 advertisement for this model, courtesy of Dave Ross.

And there's the Mighty Legend of the North who never misses a chance to get a lick in!

It was a back handed compliment I suppose...

While you'll let this bow off lightly I can only assume you're saving your venom for the Gamemaster I just posted pics of, given your ongoing conversations with Bob Savage and his travels with Jack!

I got on that Gamemaster thread pretty quickly!

You don't fool around do you? I was over here trying to get the drop on you and you snuck out the back door!

Man that is one stunning bow! Congrats on your score. Have to love the classic recurves of that era.

Jaz, for quality of workmanship and shooting, Gordon couldn't come close to FASCO!!!

That one found the right home, Peter. Love the long slender risers and the laminations are flawless!

Wow, how did I miss that one, urgh! :(

You do need to know what you're looking for also, and I know Kelly sure does. That said you will see the 70's Fasco bows made by different companies, even Darton. I think that alone keeps the price down on them and you can luck into a nice original without selling the truck.

You have to love that Brazilian Rosewood and the Rosewood/Maple parfait overlays on the front of the riser. A true beauty bow.

I have a nice Fasco for sale if anyone is interested. 62" 45@28

No flogging bows on a thread brother...put it in the classifieds if you want to sell it. Thanks Pete

Thanks Dave...putting a rest and side plate on it and the Howard tonight!
